Research has shown that refined sugar, processed foods and junk foods are the primary cause of many dreaded diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular disease, strokes, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis and neurological diseases like dementia and Alzheimer’s, just to name a few.
For older adults, the benefits of proper nutrition include increased mental acuteness, resistance to illness and disease, higher energy levels, faster recuperation times, and better management of chronic health problems. Eating well as a Senior is all about consuming adequate amounts of fresh, unprocessed, chemical-free wholesome foods.
